Empower through mobility aids

We are building a workshop in Ghana, where we develop, build and distribute mobility aids made of bamboo.

Our vision

We envision a future where physically challenged people have unlimited access to mobility, empowering them to chase opportunities and live fulfilling lives.

The necessity


  • More than 300 million people worldwide need mobility aids. This number is expected to grow to over 420 million by 2050.
  • 80% of people with disabilities live in low- and middle-income countries, where access to mobility aids is most limited.
  • In Ghana, it is estimated that 800,000 people require a wheelchair.

Local

Driven by initiative of a Ghanaian entrepreneur, we support the on-site development and production of mobility aids, while creating employment opportunities.


Tailored

The mobility aids are tailored to the specific needs of the individual user and its environment, making them user friendly and usable.

Sustainable

The products are mainly made of bamboo: a strong and sustainable material, harvested on-site.
